- Definitions
- Promo Code means a certain sequence of characters which, when activated and subject to compliance with other terms and conditions of using the Promo Code, grants a Discount to the User.
- Discount means a discount for transportation services provided to the User in the amount specified in the Yandex Go mobile app when the User provides information about their potential demand for transportation services (hereinafter referred to as a ride request) via the Yandex Go mobile app.
- Coupon means a document (including a paper card or any other handout document, a poster or any other type of media intended for public display, or any other promotional material or message, including in electronic form) containing the Promo Code and/or the terms and conditions for granting a Discount.
- The User may be provided with the Promo Code by having it specified in the Coupon.
- The Promo Code grants a Discount in the amount specified in the Coupon, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions of using the Promo Code, which are also set forth in the Coupon and in these Rules. These terms and conditions may include, but are not limited to, one or any of the following:
- Granting a Discount for the first rideonly, i.e., the first ride request made via the Yandex Go (Yandex Taxi) service with the User's respective phone number, and/or the User's Linked Bank Card, and/or the User's mobile device, subject to the provisions of clause 8 hereof.
- Granting a Discount for the first few rides (e.g., "for the first 3 rides"). In that case, the Discount is granted for the first ride as defined in clause 3.1 hereof and also for the respective number of subsequent rides, provided that the Promo Code was used for the first ride.
- Granting a Discount for cashless rides only, i.e., when cashless payment is made for transportation services using the Linked Bank Card (limited to issuers whose cards are eligible for the campaign) in the Yandex Go mobile app.
- Granting a Discount only if certain parameters are selected when making a ride request via the Yandex Go mobile app (including selecting certain service classes).
- Granting a Discount only for rides made via the Yandex Go mobile app within a certain territory (limited to certain cities, pickup and/or destination points) and/or within a certain period of time. The Promo Code becomes invalid after the expiration of the specified period.
Only physical bank cards are accepted for cashless payment purposes. Prepaid virtual bank cards, other electronic cards, and other electronic payment methods are not accepted. Other limitations may be set forth in the Terms of Use of the Service for particular countries. This information is available at https://yandex.com/legal/yandexgo_termsofuse.
If the territory and/or validity period are not specified in the Coupon and/or on the Website, the territory is deemed to be limited to the city and region where the Coupons/Promo Codes are distributed. The validity period is deemed to be limited to the period in which the respective Coupon/Promo Code is available to the public.
- The Promo Code is valid in cities where the Yandex Go (Yandex Taxi) service operates in the country the Promo Code is distributed in, unless otherwise stated in the Promo Code.
- The Discount amount is inclusive of applicable taxes, unless otherwise stated in the Promo Code/Coupon or in the Yandex Go mobile app at the time of the Promo Code activation.
- The Promo Code can only be used by one User once, unless otherwise stated in the Coupon or in the Yandex Go mobile app.
- Neither the difference between the ride price and the Discount amount nor the Discount amount itself is payable as money.
- Discounts are only provided by the partners of the Yandex Go information service who have access to the service and accept users' ride requests.
- To prevent the unfair use and/or misuse of the Promo Codes, Yandex reserves the right to use other means of verification not expressly stipulated in these Terms and Conditions, including, but not limited to, verifying that the User actually makes their first ride request via the Yandex Go service (first ride) and denying the Discount in case Yandex identifies the relevant misuse and/or unfair use of the Promo Code.
- The User may not be able to use the Promo Code due to technical issues if the User hasn't updated the Yandex Go mobile app to the latest available version and/or for other reasons. For technical reasons, the Discount granted by the Promo Code for a cashless ride may not be available if the payment method is changed to cash and/or subsequently changed back to cashless payment.
- Promo Code activation implies the User's full consent to these terms and conditions.
- When handling requests regarding Promo Code activation or use, the Yandex Go support team may request, and the User must provide, a confirmation of their receipt of the Promo Code: a photo of the card with the Promo Code, a screenshot of the page with the Promo Code, and/or other confirmation as instructed by a member of the support team. If the User fails to provide such a confirmation, Yandex Taxi reserves the right to deny the Discount.
Activating a Promo Code
Promo Codes can only be used after activation. For activation, enter the Promo Code in the special field before making a ride request in the Yandex Go mobile app.
